  • The Australian Copyright Council is an independent organisation which provides information on copyright issues to public. The Council publishes a range of free and for-sale information, and provides a telephone advisory service.
  •  The Arts Law Centre of Australia provides assistance with copyright, contracts and other issues to workers in the arts and cultural industries.
  • Arts Law Centre of Queensland provides similar services in Queensland.

  • Copyright in Australia: A Short Guide - Commonwealth Attorney General's Department.  This department is responsible for the Copyright Act and provides general copyright information, but not specific legal advice, to the general public.
  • Copyright Fact Sheets  - Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts.  This department is jointly responsible, with Attorney General's, for a range of copyright issues.
  • IP Australia (formerly Australian Industrial Property Organisation). The independent government agency which grants patents, designs and trademarks in Australia.
  • Australian Digital Alliance. The ADA is a non-profit coalition of public and private sector interests formed to promote balanced copyright law and provide an effective voice for a public interest perspective in the copyright debate.
  • Copyright Law Review Committee.  The government committee currently reviewing the Copyright Act.
